Air Tanzania to resume operations on 12 Oct 2012

According to Air Tanzania's acting managing director, Milton Lazaro, the airline will resume services on 12 Oct 2012. Air Tanzania will operate a government owned 50-seater Bombadier Dash-8 Q300, as well as two leased Boeing 737-500 with capacities of 110 and 140 passengers.
Air Tanzania will mark the official start of operations with Dar es Salaam <> Mwanza (MWZ) on 12 Oct 2012, while other routes will follow in November 2012. The airline will be flying between Dar es Salaam <> Kilimanjaro (JRO) from 02 Nov 2012, between Dar es Salaam <> Mtwara from 16 Nov 2012 and between Dar es Salaam <> Moroni (Comores) from 18 Nov 2012. Other routes and destinations will be Kilimanjaro (JRO) <> Zanzibar, Zanzibar <> Dar es Salaam, as well as Kigoma and Tabora. Air Tanzania is also planning to operate flights Dar es Salaam <> Dubai before the end of November 2012 and to Europe and China by 2013.
