SANParks announces changes to rates for open safari vehicles in the Kruger National Park

Great news for South Africans and nationals of the Southern African Development Community (SADC). From 01 November 2013, South African National Parks (SANParks) will change the rate structure for the usage of Open Safari Vehicles (OSVs) to experience the iconic Kruger National Park. Conservation fees for Kruger National Park and OSV visitors will be R62 for local residents, R124 for SADC nationals (passport holders) and R248 for international visitors. Children under 12 pay 50% of these rates. Current OSV rates are R204 for all visitors. During the 2012/13 financial year, the OSV guests numbers in Kruger National Park reached a record 120 000, comprising 7.1% of total guest entries.
